Wildflower Session Vibes: Family, Pups, and a Lot of Personality

A Session That Meant More

Wildflower photos are vibrant and full of life—and this session felt especially personal. As a Middle TN photographer, this one hit close to home. My mom wanted updated photos to celebrate both her birthday and her anniversary month, so I brought her and her husband (along with one very handsome pup and one very sassy one) out to Lynfield Gardens in Bell Buckle, TN, for a wildflower session that celebrated all of it. It turned into a wildflower session that celebrated love, history, and this season of life—exactly the kind of storytelling I love most as a Middle TN photographer.

This spot is just a short drive from Murfreesboro and has quickly become one of my favorite places to photograph. In the summer, Lynfield Gardens is known for its vibrant sunflower fields and colorful wildflowers—but it’s more than just a photo location. They grow seasonal berries and host community events that bring people together in the sweetest ways. Be sure to follow them on Facebook to stay in the loop with what’s blooming and happening throughout the year. It’s a location that any Photographer in Middle TN would love for its natural beauty.

Behind the Scenes: A Little Wild, A Lot of Heart

We wrapped the whole thing in under an hour—and honestly? I’m proud. Not just of how the images turned out, but of what it took to make them happen.

I love photography—taking photos, being in them, noticing the little things. It’s how I connect and how I press pause on moments I want to remember. But this time felt different… because I wasn’t just behind the camera. I was in the photos too.

Instead of photographing the whole session, I was guiding my husband, Adam (who’s not a photographer, but was such a trooper), adjusting settings, checking light, setting up the tripod, and wrangling two high-maintenance dogs. It was a little wild behind the scenes—and that’s exactly why I approach my client sessions the way I do, drawing from lessons I’ve learned as a Middle TN Photographer.

What I Bring to Every Session

I’ve learned how to carry calm in the middle of chaos. That’s what I bring to every family session. When I photograph your people, you don’t have to think about light, angles, or those awkward “what do we do with our hands” moments. I’ll guide you through all of it so you can actually enjoy the time—whether we’re wrangling toddlers, teens, or fur babies. If you ever need a Photographer in Middle TN, my goal is to create a relaxed and genuine experience for your family. As a Middle TN Photographer, I strive to ensure every session feels stress-free and memorable.

Dogs, Family, and Golden Light

We got sweet portraits of my mom and stepdad, some with just the two of us, a few full-family shots—and of course, plenty featuring Lucy and Finley. (He’s Lucy’s brother—we got them as pups together. I know, we’re a little obsessed. And yes, he’s just as dramatic as she is.) For those golden hour family sessions, being a Middle TN Photographer means getting to capture all the love and chaos with a little magic from the local light.

The evening was mostly overcast, but right at the end, the sun peeked out—just enough to give us that soft golden glow that made the wildflowers pop. It meant so much to capture these photos for my mom, but also for us—with our dogs right in the middle of it all. Moreover, these moments remind me why I genuinely love being a Photographer serving Murfreesboro TN families, documenting the laughter and bonds that matter most. Additionally, being a Middle TN Photographer allows me to discover the heart of every session in our beautiful communities.
