The Borgeson Family

Big Energy, Bigger Heart

The Borgesons are a family who shows up big—with energy, laughter, and love. As a photographer in Murfreesboro TN, I had the joy of capturing their world, which is full of movement, overlapping stories, and the kind of presence that makes you want to pause and soak it all in.

With five kids in the mix—Keaton, Rosie, Burke, Bella, and Brody—life is full and fast. But even with school, sports, and busy calendars, they made time to do something that matters: slowing down long enough to be in the frame together. For any photographer in Murfreesboro, TN, these moments captured with a local family are meaningful and unforgettable.

A Change in Plans That Worked Out Beautifully

We originally planned to meet at Harlinsdale Farm, but when the football team made it to a tournament (go team!), we pivoted and met at The Fountains at Gateway in Murfreesboro, TN instead.

And honestly? It was the perfect fit. The modern feel, soft light, and variety of backgrounds made everything easy—and so beautiful. The fireplace gave us a warm, cozy backdrop, and the rink lights at the end of the session added a fun, glowy touch to finish things off. If you need a photographer in Murfreesboro TN, this location really brings out the best in every family session.

Making Space for Every Story

Don and Kirsten mentioned that while they’ve made a habit of family photos every year, they hadn’t had pictures of just the two of them in a long time. So we changed that.

We captured moments of just the parents, each child individually, sibling pairings, and of course, full-family shots. These are the frames that tell the fuller story—the layers and connections that make a family what it is. As a photographer in Murfreesboro TN, I believe these meaningful moments are what create lasting memories.

A Few Extras Along the Way

Since they were visiting from out of town, I sent them to one of my favorite local spots—Just Love Coffee—and as a fun surprise, they got to meet Brutus and Lucy (my pups), who were along for the ride and instantly won everyone over.

It felt like more than just a session. It felt like a pause in the middle of real life—a moment of togetherness tucked into a very full season.

More Than Christmas Cards

Yes, these photos will look amazing on a Christmas card. But this session wasn’t just about that. It was about making space for connection in a season that rarely slows down.

The Borgesons reminded me that even in the busiest stages of life, it’s still possible to show up, be present, and create something lasting together. If you’re searching for a Murfreesboro TN photographer, you’ll see how special these moments can be.
